Clear corner question

Clear corners - Legal in all states? Seeing how the bulb is orange, there is nothing wrong with clear corners, right? I know the FAQ says check your state's laws regarding use, but I was wondering if you guys knew.

they have to be legal

there are plenty of cars which have clear or white turn signal lenses from Factory. But they have an amber/orange or yellow bulb in there making them legal.

One example would be the 3rd generation maxima. Both, front and rear turn signal lenses are white. This is how Nissan made the car.
I don't think a stock 3rd generation maxima would get a ticket in any state for stock turn signals.

But doesn't a car have to have an orange reflector in the front and a red in the back? With clear corners the car no longer reflects orange from the front so aren't they illegal?? I just doubt anyone will care as long as there is an orange bulb in them.

again, depends on the state,

Some states require all lights to have the DOT standards on them. I have yet to see many aftermarket products with it.

It seems most states only say orange and white up front, but some have the reflective rule as well.
