What should I do with my money?

Well, this is my situation. I own the car in my sig, with 84K on it. It's got tan leather, some crappy paint not from Nissan, and most importantly: auto. My dream Maxima is a 1997/98 black on black leather SE 5-speed. I currently have about $2,500 to spend. I just don't know where to spend it. These are my options:
1. Keep this car, and just SC it some time soon.
2. Sell my car, buy a 5 speed.
3. Mod this car with everything except SC.
4. Save more money...think about it later.

The 1 reason why I would keep this car is because I put about $3000 worth of repairs into it from a prior accident, so when I sell it, it will probably be at a big loss. I like the styling of 97-99 a lot more because of the fact I can get nice red/clear tails, the front styling, and safety ratings. I also would really like black interior so I could get aluminum dash, etc. Also, I know 5 speeds are faster unless you get real fast, which I don't really plan on doing. They're also much more fun to drive . Any other opinions would be welcomed. My parents did say if I go to a good priced college, they would consider buying me a SC/TC for graduation .

I would sell it and get a 5 speed. If you supercharge the auto, thats 14s. You can achieve this in a five speed with y pipe and intake if you can drive good. Also, with the VI, you should be in the low 14s with decent weather.

5. Give your money to Cyrus.

Seriously though, don't supercharge unless you can afford to beef up your tranny (VB mod). I think you should go N/A but first finish a suspension (if you haven't already).

I supercharged my auto and beefed up the tranny. I mean I love my boost but obviously I would rather have a 5 speed but my parnets wouldnt let me sell my car to get the 5 speed since the car isnt in my name for insurance reasons. If it was I would sell it and buy a 5 speed and either turbo it or SC it, but too late now oh well

I was in the same boat as you. I got about 1500 and was confused on my next mods. Im trying to convince my parents to let me do a 5spd, so hopefully next summer ill convert it and get SC or turbo. For now Im gettin VI, 3in B pipe, 5th gen muffler, and a few other things. If I were u id def. get a 5 spd!

I'm SC'ed and Auto with a 3.25" Pulley and MEVI and the best time at the track I've gotten is 14.7.

Granted, I may be running the wrong spark plugs and i need to work on my launches.

But mtrai760 was on the track the same night with the same mods sand Supercharger and MEVI. he got a 15.2 as his best time.

Get a 5-speed. Thus far I am unimpressed with the Supercharger.

thanks for the input guys. i knew it was gonna come to this (buying a 5 speed). why didnt i receive any notification for people posting in this thread though? i didnt touch any of my settings, and i cant find out where it says i dont want to receive notification.

if i sell my car on EBAY as it is now, do you think some fool will buy it for more than its worth, considering some people on EBAY are idiots...how has the bidding for all the other hooked up maximas gone?

There are alot of Ebay users here. If you want some advice, change your tone.

I doubt it. Ebay bidders usually pay less than what a local bidder would..... Try your local papers first then hit e-bay.

Get the 5spd! A SC is great, even on an auto, but when the darn auto lags on you, you're not going to like it. That's why a 5spd swap will be in the future for me.
