I'm going to get an aftermarket TIP welded inplace of my OE tip, but I'm going to keep with the stock muffler. My question is what size would fit the stock muffler and fit in the 1/2 moon shaped opening in the bumper cover the best? I am most likely going to go rolled chrome.

Get a polished stainless steel tip. It'll last longer than chrome. The 4" tip on my Stillen exhaust fits nicely in the cutout. I think that the other exhausts use a 4" also.

I have a 4" tip welded to my stock muffler. But I have a 3rd gen, so I don't have the problem of it fitting in the bumper.

Mine is a "Megs" tip that I got from my neighbor. I am pretty sure (99.9%) that it is the stainless steel one. I also sprayed some black spray paint inside there so you wouldn't see the stock muffler in the hole. I'll be posting pics after Christmas. It looks good...maybe someone will think it's a GReddy or something!!

Go with the stillen sized one.

If he says it's a 4 inch one, get that, they look good without being too big imo. Fits good too.
