My car almost died this morning..Help..

I was about to merge into traffic this morning and decided to turn on my headlights. As soon as i turned the switch, the car started to stall, all the lights in the instrument panel (airbag, checkengine, seatbelt, etc..) came on. I quickkly turned it off and everything was fine. The radio wasn't affected but i had to change the time back. Does anyone have any clue what happened?
It didn't happen anymore after that..

What could it be?

What year is your car? Sounds like your alternator isn't powering your battery, or your battery won't hold a charge.

Certain 97s were recalled for their alternator. Mine is probably one of them, but seeing how it is sitting on jackstands the car isnt going too far.
