When I bought my Max it did not come with a bracket so I just drilled directly into the bumper and mounted it with some lock washers and screws I also took the whole bumper off to do this,while I was installing my wire mesh inserts

 

that sucks I live in Houston and have always taken the front plate off of all my cars and have never been hasseled for it. Knock on wood. I will probably get one now for saying this.

I tried to take my braket off and ending up breaking it. Oh well, it looks better without it.
