choices, choices, choices

I got word from my parents that in may i am going to get a new car as my present. Now I have two choices. Of course my first choice is the 03 maxima, a 6sp or a my second choice is a 6sp 350z. Now im in total love with the maximas, power, finess, and the room. a z would definetly satisfy my power carve, and its pretty damn sexy looking. So i am asking the board to help me make a decision. which one.

oh and one more thing, I hear a rumor about the 04 maxima getting a v8 rwd. Is there any truth to this? if so i might just well wait for that. i can wait a year. my 98 maxima keeps me happy. damn now that i relize it this will be my third car.

Just don't count on insurance for the Z to be any lower. If that's not an issue the Z would be your best bet.

I'm assuming you're still in your teens so grab life by the handle and enjoy driving the Z. Deal with the "family" car when you're about to make that change

hahahahah!

Voltman and Klown...stop hating! Go to a corner and cry because your mom can't buy you a car. Don't be so jealous of the guy. Hey, if his mom has the money to buy her son a brand spanking new car...why not? Redrum...you're only 17 and this is already going to be your third car. Woah. Anyways, definitely go with the 350Z! Just like soundmike said, you're young...enjoy it!

I will be paying them myself. My 18/hr job should be enough to cover all the mods. oh and 2k2.6sp. my mom doesn't know that its a 287 hp rwd car. im going to keep it a secret. sometimes i dont even know what i did to deserve the cars. i feel guilty sometimes. but i dont mind

you can get a r32 gts-t for like 30k, the price of a new maxima or z. after that mod it like hell and you can make it just like a gtr minus the 4wd. if i were you i would definatly do that, i know what im going to do when i get my dad's s4: sell that b!tch and my z and buy a r32

Man I don't know why, and I'm only 15. But I don't even think I really think I want a 350Z? I would rather have a new RX-8; Reason: seats 4.
I just can't fathom having a 2 seater. besides my Midget but I never drive it anyway.
I'd say if mummy wants to buy you something really cool have her drop the G's on an Evo 7 or a Subaru WRX STi.

http://motorex.net/stocklist.htmlInsurence would send you into a frothing seizure though.
But if I had the money that's how I'd start out.
It's an auto but remember it's still a Skyline.
Besides Bomex, C-west and Veilside can help you make it look like it's Bigger brother easily.
Oh I wish I had. $30,000.

I would get the g35 coupe..but that's just me. It's pretty much the same price as the 350z. I agree with maxima06071..wait for the evo 8 or the sti! Those are much better cars. 0-60 in under 5..all wheel drive..a z killer..

i can get a manual one from elsewhere. i was about to get one for 11k plus 5k for shipping and inspection costs, but then legalization came in -> 16k. i would only need motorex to legalize it, but other people can import the cars. also, i would never pay money for an automatic car, even if it was a ferrari. getting a auto skyline would be a disgrace to skylines and i would never participate in such flagrantly evil activity.

that is a very unfair comment to make. just because he is getting a car that a lot of hard working people can't afford does not nessecarily mean that he does not appreciate the value of it. i know people that are in the same situation and they understand fully how hard it is to buy not only a 30k car, but a car in general. their are some people that can get stuff from their parents and still grow up to be able to fend for themselves.

Yes I agree where can you get your for 11k? Ebay...
No seriously, I've seen importers selling Skylines for less than 20k but most wouldn't ship to the U.S.A.

I, OTOH, would gladly get an automatic "paddle shifter" Ferrari. That thing is even better than a regular stick-shift.

yeah, the guy's name is yoshi and his importer is some guy named kevin. that guy really knows his stuff. too bad the government has to hold the car, otherwise i wouldn't legalize it and take my chances without insurance. maybe i can smuggle one in...
