My condolences to 98Max and his family. Sad. Ironically, I was in Orlando that day for a trip. Seems like every time I fly anywhere something sad happens.

RIP dude

I read about this in my forum. I don't know what to say. This is very sad, and hits hard at the heart. On behalf of acura-legend.com, I would like to say RIP to Kevin and send my condolences out to his family and friends.

We have since changed the racing section on our forums to Track Discussion. Any member posting about street racing faces the possibility of being banned.

Keep it safe out there. It's not worth your life or someone else's for the adrenaline rush.

One.

Reflect

my condolance. Sorry to hear about this. ITs a tragic thing that happends in the org family.
GUys we need to learn and grow. and i have quoted a fellow org member in my sig that hits hard in my opinion. Indeed the cost is to great for anyone to pay. Next time you fell compell to show off or get even think twice. Think about your life and those around you. Dont be Selfish, and have considertation for those lives you migh/will affect.
Psalm 23

The LORD is my shepherd,
I shall not want;

he makes me lie down in green pastures.
He leads me beside still waters;

he restores my soul.
He leads me in paths of righteousness for his name's sake.

Even though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death,
I fear no evil; for thou art with me;
thy rod and thy staff, they comfort me.

Thou preparest a table before me in the presence of my enemies;
thou anointest my head with oil, my cup overflows.

Surely goodness and mercy shall follow me all the days of my life;
and I shall dwell in the house of the LORD for ever.
Reflect, Relearn, Reassure.

well guys, a friend of mine and an Org. member died this afternoon due to racing. He and a friend were in a 12sec. Jetta racing a mustang down East Colonial (50) here in Orlando when something went wrong causing both cars to crash, cutting the Jetta in two. 3 were hurt and 98max lost his life. This is just one more reason to keep your racing to the tracks.

sorry to hear about this and hope lots you taking a lesson not to be racing on local highways including myself.

My deepest sympathy goes out to him and his family...At least he spent the last 12 seconds of his life doing what he loved. I know he's up there now tearing up the streats of heaven in his max, smokin everyone and having a blast.

damn, its always sad to hear about people dying in car crashes... Wherever he is now, hes happy, Its just so sad that he died at young age...

But, this is an example on how the fun of street racing can turn to disaster... so all you racers, be careful, anything can happen.. Its not worth risking your life for a few seconds of adrenaline.. But accidents aren't avoidable, so even if you dont race, just be careful anyways...

I know hes happy now, and in a better place.. I also hope the survivors of the accident are doing ok. RIP bro.

I just sat here and read through all 8 pages of condolences prayers, and well wishes for the family of this guy that I don't know. I am a Soldier, Husband, and Father. I worry about when I have to deploy for war, my health, which is slowly declining, and two low profile, Z rated tires that now has one small cut on each sidewall whenever my wife decides to go shopping.

Gentelmen, Ladies, we all want the finer things in life, but we have to make due with what we got. So we tune. We modify. We drop the hottest things in electroincs and car accessories into our rides. That is why we members here. Unfortunately, we all have been overlooking one important thing, SAFETY. If you read my post in the 1st- 2nd Generation Maxima Forum, you will read a story about me trying to outrun a Mustang 5.0 with over 300 hp under its hood, and my stock V6......WITH THOSE SAME Z RATED TIRES I WORRY ABOUT MY WIFE IN THE ABOVE PARAGRAPH. I hadn't read about this guy everyone knew, and wishing that he was still meeting, and posting here before I made that post. I wished I had, then I wouldn't posted that. However, I am going to leave that post there. And continue my quest to have a quicker 86 Maxima. But I have learned something here, and that is SAFTEY IS PARAMOUNT!!!!!! I am not going to challenge that Mustang the way I did next time. I am going to hand its owner my time slip @ a quarter mile from a sanctioned racing facility. I like to have the power from my car when I need it, but not the way I have done it, not like that at all.

So we all gotta be safer and continue to do what we love to do best. And that is continuing to modify, accessorize, and tuning. That is what your friend would want us to continue to do. Lets just do the right thang and do it safely.

When stuff like this happens I start questioning myself, "Why exactly am I modding my car performance wise when there's no track down here in New Orleans?" I thank God that I pray everytime I leave the house in the morning.

I was thinking the same thing. Why do I want to put performance mods in when there is no truck for 100's of miles in the Twin Cities.

That IS sad if they were because he probably feels guilty every single day bout his actions and what it cost.
