Does anybody know what this code goes to?

I got the dreaded CEL yesterday. Pulled the code, 0806. According to the decoder, it goes to the EVAP canister control valve/solenoid.

Does anybody know what in the heck that is? Please advise.

I read the search link, and I have the basic idea.

One more question though, where is the solenoid located. Dave mentioned briefly that is was "on top of the engine", but where? What does it look like? Does anyone have any pics or links for me to see what it looks like before I start taking things off and spraying them down with WD-40? Please advice, my CEL is back on again and I want to take care of this problem right away. Thanks in advance for your help.

whats up Jaime?
I threw the same code as well. It is usually associated with the knock sensor i believe. The EVAP canister is located behind the drivers side rear wheel and it is a Black box the is about 12x6". It has a bunch of hoses coming out of it as well.

MY question is that i threw the EVAP sensor and where is that located? There is some type of open/close valve that is attached to the box and that can be removed.

Let me know if you find out anything... becasue i need to replace mine. I have heard that they run around $80.00,but not for certain.

Guys I had the same code dealing with the EVAP Solenoid and Purge valve (0807). Check if there is anything blocking the smallest hose/tube from the midpipe. Mine was blocked with excess metal/material (from the inside of the midpipe) and I had to remove it. So far, no probs and no ECU comin on again.

I have no clue where the solenoid is to start tracing. I know where the canister is, but not the solenoid. What hoses are you referring to?

The solenoid is the black thing pluged into the evap canister right behind the drivers side wheel. It has 2 hoses (i think) that connect to it.
