I really appreciate the help on my last post. I need some feedback so I can haggle with the dealer. I found a Black 2000 SE with 15000 miles. It has moonroof, spoiler, 17 in tires, leather, Bose, heated seats, etc. The sticker is 20,995. It doesn't seem he'll budge. What do you guys think is a fair offer. Or, what do you think they will come down to. I crashed my accord last week and am making a decision this weekend. When I get the insurance check for my Honda I'm putting it all down on the car and want the lowest possible monthly payments. I would really appreciate some input. Thanks guys.

 

that is too high for a 2000 se now that the 2003's are out, i wouldnt pay no more than $18,000 ... you can get a 2003 gxe for 26,000

2k2 maxima go for 17grand auto as "trade in" and this guy wants 20g for a 2k SE. I know dealers charge more then "trade in" but this guy is asking wayy too mych.

 

More like 2k3 SE for 25000. There are no more gxe. For the base price u get HID, 17s, CD changer and more..

 

 

What about blue book price though. It says it is 21500. Most 2k3's I've seen are close to 30k. This one has leather, bose, and only 15k.

 

Forget the blue book. 2002/3 maxima's are being cleared out and sold for cheap. That will undoubtedly bring all used maxima's down a bit, especially 2000/2001. You can get 2003 maxima's for $23k so consider buying new. Look up invoice prices. People have gotten $1500 BELOW invoice for new maximas.

 

Whoa! I didn't even pay that much for my 2k2 GLE and I got it before they were liquidating them. I got the GLE for 25,8xx or something.

Also, It's very very hard to find a GXE for the 2002/2003 model year.
