Great Nissan Ads...

I like 2 of the new Nissan Ads.

1. Maxima and the Sun. Basically the new Max watches a sunset....then takes off and goes so quickly the sun rises...and gets to see another sunset...very original

2. Police and the Z. Several pictures of police officers are shown with a cute saying to the effect of "be carefull out there" and a nice shot of the 350Z.

Nissan, keep this original ideas rolling!

does it say "cars like it = zero" or "cars that like it = zero"?

either way, it's still zero anyway!

I also like the new Z ad the one where it shows all the license plates and all the sweet Zs of the past... too bad the Z32 looked nicer than the new one (my opninion)

Yeah, that max commercial is an oldie, but a goodie. They changed the ending to fit the new ad campaign and photochopped the headlights. And I too really like the new Z commercials. The Shift_whatever campaign seems to be off to a pretty good start.

...love that and yes, you're right, the early 90's Z looked better than the new one.

I love all the commercials with the cars sliding through the water. I heard Rhys Millen was the driver for those commercials.
I like the commercial for the 2k2 where the astronaut is about to blast off, and he's dreaming about being in the Max instead.

The print ad with the 2k2 and the inverted jet fighter is cool, too.

I like the commercial with the astronaut as well. I thought that was very original and funny.

I like the new Z commercial where they show a bunch of snap shots of the car. They show it fish-tailing around a turn. It's jumping off of a hill. The other one showing all the Zs from back in the day, was cool as well.

heh that's a rehashed botched job on that sunset commercial....

However, I like the license plate commercial, and I haven't seen any of the new commercials. The sale commercials were really really lame and done by the same dorks who do honda commercials or something...the cars weren't moving and nothing was dynamic.

And the old Z's own the new Z's on looks. At least they kept the spirit of the car though; it performs.

I have not seen many of the new commercials, but then again I don't watch a lot of TV. My favorite so far is the Z one with all the different license plates.

I dig the one for maximas with the guy near area 51 when they say something like "UFO sighting: 325", then the max flies by and they say "UFO sightings: 326".

One that I haven't seen on TV yet, is a maxima cruising in the desert (2k2). Death is also there atop his horse, complete with sickle. He gives chase to the maxima, and just as he's about to catch up the maxima shifts into sixth and takes off. Death throws down his sickle on the ground, and the "cars like = 0" slogan appears.

I got it from the now protected nissanartwork site.

I've always liked the Maxima commercials (old ones, new ones, it's all good!) and the new Z ads rule!

I like the new one with the paint peeling off the Max....
I hope traffic judges don't watch television, it's going to make the "I drive a 4 door family sedan" plea a little harder !

Kinda ironic about the ad with paint peeling off from black to silver. Just like any other 5th gen max with the paint chips!!

Finally saw the paint one! Pretty cool! I liked it. I hate commercials where the cars just sit there (read: honda, toyota).

There's a new print ad. I got my Car & Driver yesterday and as I was leafing through it I came across an Altima ad.

It shows a picture of an Altima on Ebaymotors. It's a "guy selling" rides for his Altima. Saying the new 2003 Altima has 245HP 17 inch wheels and will give you the ride of your life. Bidding starts at $40.00 which is a deal considering the high you will get.

It's a very funny ad.

Oh yeah...

Who can forget one of the first commercials for the 4th gen? The "Top Gun" pigeon commercial! I was only 15 or so when I saw that one, and I loved it. It was so funny the way the pigeons were acting like fighter pilots, trying to shoot the Max with poop!
"He's too fast! I can't get a lock!"

I like how Nissan has always used their manual transmissions in their Maxima commericals. I know it's one of the very few "family sedans" that is still offered with a stick, but I still think it's cool that they do it. They're appealing to the tastes of a younger and more energetic audience by doing so, b/c people like to have fun while they're driving. But look at me, I drive an automatic

I just saw the paint peeling add last night as well. I too was laughing, as it looks like Nissan finally admits that they have great cars, with lousy paint.

Some maketing guy at Nissan is probably getting an earful from the Manager of the paint department: "Geez, we know the paint chips easily, but did you have to go tell everyone about it in primetime??"

I have a friend hosting it for me. I put these up on all the Maxima boards so I am not sure how many people are hitting it at once. I think that HostOnce.com is the host on this.

I am hosting it and my server is getting attacked.. when it gets "excessive" amounts of traffic it slows down... better than crashing or stopping I guess

Actually his server is getting much better...it was a temp problem. If he has unlimited space, its prob easier ot leave it alone.
