Anyone gotten very good deals on their max?

Anyone just completely rip somebody off buying their max, or find a low low price at the dealer? Let's hear some good deals you guys have gotten.

In Oct 2000, I bought a 2000 GXE with aftermarket HU, 17" Konigs, and Eibach springs, only 12K miles, and all for....... $19,400

Thanks to Michael @ Amity Nissan

i got raped. stupid kid that found a good car but payed too much kinda story. what are ya gonna do?...i'm happy with it though so, once it's payed off, i'll say it's money well spent.

basically: buying from a dealer + automatic + not too high mileage + no dealership experience = lots of $$...well atleast i got a maxima!

i wouldnt say i ripped the seller off but.... my mom is an auto financer and goes marketing and doing contract at a bunch of dealerships. well after the years she became friends with the owner and finance manager. they friends of the family now. about a week after my last maxima was totaled he told me he got a nice maxima SE in. i guess some kid traded it in for money towards a new altima. well they gave him a crappy price bacause he was so excited to get an altima. so i got the car for real cheap. its worth about 12 and i got it for 7100! its a 97' 60k miles, black on black, with heated leather and all option and a few pricey cosmetic modifications thats my story, and a long one it was

Everybody who bought a new 98-99 got at least 5500 off list price, with the average in the high 5 to low 6 range, some probably got as much as 6700 off list. But just when we thought we got a good deal, the joke was on us when you see 97 SE's with high mileage going for 8995 at authorized Nissan dealers. It's hard to say what's a good deal on a Nissan.

I had a pretty similar deal to redmaxpa007. $27k sticker, out the door for $21,600. This was back in 99 for a 99SE 5spd. I've seen slightly better deals, but I can't complain.

I was offered a 2K3 Maxima SE Auto, Leather w/heated package, Digital Climate, Moonroof, BOSE, Titanium Package. In other words every single option except Navigation for $25,000. However I still wouldnt do it because of the NYC HID theft problem, as well as the horrible resale and huge hit I would take.(2K2 SE's go for an average price of $17.5K at dealer auctions), about 60% of the original sticker price.

My 98 GXE auto w/ sunroof, comfort & convenience package with 57k miles.. 11,700 or so with taxes and other fees.. in august 2001. Thought it was a pretty good deal, considering it's blue book was around 14,500$ or so at the time..

I paid $19.9K for my SE 5speed brand new in 1997. No options at all on it.

Unfortunately my car is now worth about as much as the 6.4K NYCe Maxima paid. Then again, I'm not selling mine any time soon.

Finally bought myself a Maxima 3 weeks ago. Here's the details:
1997 GXE 5sp
Bare bones, no options, except floormats (I hate the antenna!!!)
96,000 miles, mix freeway/rushhour
100,000 mile extended warrante, all work done @ dealership with documentation (damn...gave me a huge folder of receipts!)
$6000 cash, no tax.

Anyways, She's about 28ears old, bought the Maxima in 1997, which was her dream car. Now she makes big $ at a movie studio and bought a Bimmer 528, also her dream car. She doesn't want to do her own maintenance so she wanted to sell the Maxima before the warrante expired. The car's seriously like new, inside and out, and smooth/quiet engine (original clutch!) I must agree with Wards saying 1997 Maxima is a top 10 most reliable car.

Thanx to SweetSound2001 on this forum for the hookup and to my dad who checked the car out for me. Lady was crying as I drove the Max away!
