Auto to 5 Speed Conversion complete!!! Long
I picked up my car a week and a half ago and its been great! Many thanks to ppl on the org for the inspiration for this crazy mod. Originally was planning to do this swap on my own but after trouble with installing pedals(step one) and the super duper rust i have all over, ended up having a pro do it for me. Maximus75 aka Jeff @ Maximum Tuning did the swap perfectly. Cruise, reverse lights, clutch saftey switch all work fine. I have no Check engine light and with regards to chatter, its non existent. He even let me take a seat in his dope A$$ car. I did stall about 50 times the first day because i never drove stick for more than a minute before. I pretty much drive silky smooth now. With my ACT clutch its really fun letting my friends who own manual cars drive my car like a newb. This was a costly mod but worth every penny. In a span of 3 days i drove 400 city miles. Best mod ever!!!
[Plug] Jeff did a really nice and neat job. I would recommend that anybody who needs anything done and lives in or near Long Island, NY go to Maximum Tuning. He's really nice and can talk max all you want. Thanks again Jeff! [/Plug]

What was your grand total for the swap?
I'm also on Long Island and would love to locate all the parts for the conversion, just don't know how to go about it. Jeff's the man, I'd bring it directly to him for the swap if I could find the parts.
If it's too hard to find them, I'll just have him do the VB mod instead...

and i agree with you completely..
He's really making things happen and every single person that i heard feedback from, that went to his shop is very impressed and couldn't be happier with the job. I even heard of him helping out people who ran into unexpected trouble with their car, without even charging them labor..
Either way, considering how much he charges, it's an unbelievable bargain.. I know I much rather go to a guy who knows his **** and I know he won't screw anything up since he knows these cars inside out... plus his charges are less than I heard anywhere yet.. and he is an org member.. it doesn't get any better than this
His Valve body mods are cheaper and are done well and fast, not like Don in texas where people waited for like a year to get their stuff..
he charges 100$ to install springs and struts
now he's coming with a bullet proof auto tranny which is supposed to be cheaper and stronger than Level 10..
He even does 5 speed conversions..
And his shop hasn't even been open a year.. or maybe even like 6 months.. damn
I need directions to his shop.. I have a few things to do that I can't do myself because of lack of tools, knowledge and time

I got lucky and found a 99 i30t lsd on car-part.com. All parts(i just faxed him Harold's list) except the ACT clutch cost 1400 shipped. ACT cost 325. Ask Jeff to quote you the labor.
Caveat:
When the parts arrived I inspected every part to check quality. I didnt even realize that my shift linkage and shifter was totally bent outta shape. Now when i look at the pictures i took it looks so obvious.
That being said, Jeff had to do some extra work installing/uninstalling/reinstalling etc. So labor was a little more than quoted which is totally understandable. This guy does not do stuff half-a$$ed.
BTW... Big ups to HLH0501. If not for his website there would be no way for me to convince any of my friends and family that this mod was doable. Yeah im the guy who gave ur site 1000+ hits. hehe

lol.. yeah its doable.. just crazy and money needed.. so far what the update? any problems? i wanna do the 5spd conversion on my 3rd gen but the price on the parts alone will cost more than the max, and then the labor will kill me..lol.. i am just a poor ny'er living by himself barely living..
oh thanks for those 1000 hits, no wonder the server was busy and down, lol, just thought that biru broke the computer again. j/k
