N20 fan nozzle placement

I remember seeing a thread about where people put their fan nozzles before the TB. Where exactly is the best place for this? I thought somone suggested 3inches.
I searched for nozzles, N20, fan tip and I got crap in the return. Sprint please help.

I'm noticing that your fan tip sprayer in that picture is sitting pretty far out of the intake piping. Mine seems to sit my deeper into the intake pipe. Did I do something wrong? I used the extra brass adaptor and nut.
