Speeding ticket question

I got a speeding ticket this morning going to church with my girlfriend, If you can believe that. Anyway, I was clocked at 57 in a 45 zone. I am guilty no doubt about it. The trooper also gave me a ticket for illegal tint because I have 20% all around. He tells me to get the tint off in 10 days and plead not guilty to the ticket and he will deduct the possible 3 point and I will just pay the fine. I tell my sister who had my v1 detector because of a cross state trip, she told me that she got a ticket for going 77 in a 65 zone 3 months ago and got 3 points even though the officer said that she does not get points. So she paid the fine and 2 weeks later she recieved her insurance bill and it was $400 more!!! My question is how can I be sure that the officer will not screw me? I do not want my insurance to find out. I have been ticket free and points free for 4 years! Thanks Btw the way, I took the tint off the front window and another trooper that I talked to later on in the day wrote off on it.

Re: Speeding ticket question

well considering you have taken the tint off already, i would go ahead and plead not guilty in any case, and go ahead and pay the fine (i dunno how that point thingy works tho). Are you willing to trust a trooper to remember you in particular? Chances are he'll screw you either way. No idea how many people he pulls over in a day. Maybe if you had been cool with the five-oh, he would've given you a break. I got pulled over last night clocked at 93 in a 70 and after telling the five-oh i was just coming back after taking my girl to the zoo for the day, he ran my licence and then gave me a verbal warning and told me he appreciated my slowing down after i noticed him. I actually WAS hauling ***, and saw his ride in the median and kept on for a couple more mins but slowed down.
needless to say i started to get out of the car to hug him but he told me never mind! lol

Lucky you. I didn't explain myself to him. (stupid me). I was very cool and calm with him. I think he was jealous because I am somewhat young kid driving a nice max and he probably has a pos ford. Just venting.

go to court and talk to the prosecuter

sometimes, you can talk to the prosecutor and work something out... you will pay more.... but sometimes you can plead to a zero point offense...

good luck,
anthony

if you really dont want it to appear on insurance, just plead guilty to the charge of speeding and then do traffic school. yes traffic school is boring but it gets the ticket off ur record

yeah.. did that...too

but i think it shows up THEN it comes off AFTER you take the class... which at that time it might pop up at the insurance .... traffic school is only good for your driving record... so you dont go over your limit....

So how does insurance find out you hav a point on my record?? do they check the DMV records monthly or something? I got a ticket a month ago and JUST NOW got it cleared and stuff... i took traffic school to waive the point. Will the insurance have already seen the point or something and keep the rates high?
