I negotiate a rediculous low price for a 99 max SE!!

if u guys remember i was the one that posted about a 97 max SE with 95k being on sale for $6000/obo before....but couple of days ago when i look in local news paper i found a 99 max SE with only 23600k asking for $11000/obo...so i call the # and spoke to owner to meet up...i took a test drive and the car is in excellent condition with no dents or scratch cause it's garage kept...still have factory warranty also...the reason his selling so low is his house is almost in forecolsure and need money to make payments...i offer him 10k and he said he'll think about it...i'll keep u guys posted..

Save the $4000 and buy a turbo. Our motors can last.

I would feel guilty. $11K is more than a steal anyway.

I agree. If the mileage was about the same, that's a different story, then I would take the '97 hands down. In this case, I would take the '99 with less mileage. The price is good for the '97, but the mileage is just too much. Especially if you plan to keep the car for a long time.

thanks for all your opinions....i agree with most of u a car with 95k is not same as car with 23k....if i buy the car i'm keeping it for at least 3yrs or more...cause normally the 99 with that mileage would go for at least 13-15k...i'm waiting for answer from owner..if i do buy the car i'll have money left over for parts...like intake, exhaust, and stillen kit...

I agree if the car is as in a good of shape as you say someone else will come in and snag it at 11K. That is a hella deal for a 99 with only 23,000!

Come on! 3 years old car with only 23k miles and you offer $8500?

I thought our car worth a lot more than that...

98coupev6, it is a good deal. Color doesn't matter than much, unless you really hate that color. Otherwise you will get used to it.
