New Car

I am looking at buying a 3rd generation 1991 Maxima GXE. It has 99,250 miles on it. The seller wants $3,995. Is this a good buy. How many miles do Maximas Usually last for. I figure the people that own and know about maximas (y'all) would know best.

Thank you for your help

jeez... that's crazy. that's the same price, year, model, and miles i got my car for. the engines last for a while, but the trannies aren't as strong. mine went out when i hit 100k. That doesn't mean the one you are looking at will. It's hard to tell how long it will last. It all depends on how well it was taken care of by the previous owner(s).

Is the box that is attached to the back left speaker a crossover or an amp. How hard is it to add a subwoofer to the current speaker setup?

um.. i think you are talking about the amp but every speaker has it's own amp on it. i'm not sure how hard it is to install a sub with the stock setup but it shoudn't be too bad.

What price should i try and get the dealer to go down to. I dont really know how much maximas are usually worth. Ive never bought or owned one before. Any thing i should look for when looking this vehicle over?

My 3rd gen lasted past 140k with no engine or tranny problems whatsoever.
