Type S front bumper w/ ionic sides and rear *pics*

Well... what do you think?

I finally got the car back today. It was repainted black and I had another shop install the type s front bumper. Came out nice. Overall I'd give the bumper an 8 out of 10 on fitment. Fits well except for where it meets the fenders - it doesn't fit perfect. You have to be pretty close to see it. I'd give the shop a 6 out of 10 on painting it. It came out OK but there's a drip mark that I noticed. Eh - I got it pretty cheap so I can't complain. Besides... I'd be delusional if I thought this bumper was gonna last long on my car in NYC =)

Unlike most maxima owners - I'm HAPPY with the way it came out. Is it somewhat flawed? Sure - it's not perfect. But you know what? The bumper was not that expensive. The paint job was pretty cheap. I'm satisfied with what I paid for. The only kits I have ever seen that fit perfect are veilside and they are $$$. If I paid $2000 for this kit I'd be pretty ****ed - but I didn't and I'm happy. =)

Anyway - on with the pics. I think the combo works great - how about you?

Looks great. I'm still dreading the day I have to test fit my rear Type S bumper. I prepped the bumper already. I got rid most of the imperfections. Now I just need to remove my stillen rears and oem bumper. Drill some holes and hope to God it would bolt up nicely.

i know i know - what can i say - photography isn't my strong suit =)

i will say though that this car looks much much better in person and the pics don't really do it justice. like most pics i've seen!

ps i had until recently 18" tsw revo's but i no longer have them so i'll be rolling on these until spring. =)

I agree those rims do suck. They are really ugly. There are some rims that don't look good on Max's and that is definitely on of them. 5 spoke rims look best on the Max. My opinion anyway.

i hate to add to list of people who don't like your rims.. but +1.

something about the ionic sides and rear bothers me, they don't match the aggressive front bumper at all..

just my $0.02.

Finally it's on!!
Good to see you're satisfied with the outcome.
I have no idea when my type-s skirts will ever go on my car, typical Trippy.
Anyway.. is that a rejected inspection sticker I see?

1. need better pics to make a ya or nay judgement

2. hoping on the bandwagon about the wheels

3. i would like to see that same set up on a red max or blue one.

other than that its looks different. different can be good.

Re: Re: it looks...Ok....

The thing looks great... but like others have said, the rims just don't fit with the kit. Buy a set where the spokes extend all the way to the lip instead of scooping in like that. Just a thought.

i agree with the rest of them about the wheels. a good set of 18's even would really help. add on a bigger drop, some mesh grill behind your front bumper (even if it's black), and a more agressive spoiler and you'll be looking even better. if it's any bonus though, i like the combo. also, you might wanna work around with the lighting when taking pics. it'd look even better to people if you could just get a few really good shots in lose the rims though!

kit looks good

wheels are obvious, but since winter is coming no sense in getting nice rims now, so they can get fudged up.

Just a little advice for taking pictures next time, especially if "your digicam sucks": Point your car in the direction of the sun. Meaning, if you want us to see the front of the car, the shadow has to come out the rear of the car.

Especially since you have a dark colored car. Mid-afternoon is the best time to take pics, although in the wintertime, since we're in NYC, it should be ok anytime of day.

But ... the kit looks a little off like everyone is saying. Ionic kit is nice, the front is off a little.

But hey, if you like it, more power to ya.

holy crap - THANK YOU!!!

ok - just wanted to show the kit.

YES I KNOW THE RIMS SUCK. YES I HAD 18'S. YES THEY GOT STOLEN. YES I AM GETTING NEW RIMS AFTER WINTER.

Can we move past the rims?

Anyway - thanks for the comments. I like it so that's all that matters to me

PS - I guarantee anyone that sees the car in person will feel it. 100% satisfaction guaranteed.
