The tire manufacturers say keep the pressure high to keep the tread grooves open. It makes sense and seems to work, certainly it did for road racing.

Higher tire pressure will reduce your contact patch. Reduced contact path means less rubber on the road. Less rubber on the road means you will lose traction quicker.

Please refer to the sticker in the center console arm rest for proper tire pressures. A few pounds higher (2or3) especially if your on lower profile tires is probably still acceptable. This value should be set when the tires are cold, usually first thing in the morning before you drive your car.

Smaller contact patch in rain is good - less aquaplaning. However, I didn't say raise them sky high, I just said KEEP them high.

i'd prolyl do like 33, u want more patch on the ground. might i suggest RE730s.. very good wet weather traxion.

Keep your tires at normal operating pressure (32-35 psi). Mot tires are designed to perform optimally at those ratings.
