Do Sub Frame connectors affect crash protection?
I know all modern cars are designed to crush on impact to absorb the force of the crash, however I don't know much on the details of this. Do the Warpspeed subframe connectors affect the 'crumple zones' or crash protection in any way?

The location where the bars are you don't want it to crumple. It's the same concept as roll cage. When you get in a crash, you sure hell don't want your roll cage to crumple. If so, what's the point having it.

as with all stress-type bars, it will just relocate the kinetic energy of a crash to weaker parts of the car. so if you get in a side impact, obviously with the full sub-frame connectors, your roof will probably be more affected along with a stronger feel inside the car.
the car body is suppose to 'give' in an accident to dissipate crash energy in the form of deformation, sound, and heat. take a away 1 of the elements, and you'll probably get more of the other two.
