Ok..my battery went dead this morning. I'm debting between getting the regular green top Interstate battery or the Optima. The maxima takes MT-35, which is a reverse post. The Optima's post are the standard. Now, my question....people that are using Optima, does your cable reach??

Thanks Jeff. It did. I went out and check my cables and I think they will reach. I found the Optima locally for $119, which is a really good price. Time for me to head out and buy the battery.

Re: where for $120???

there's a local distributor in Astoria. i dunno where it is but you'll have to look in the phone book. ask then how much and see if they can cut u a break on the price.

Nope,

Mine didn't reach. I had a piece of board under the battery to "raise" it to the level of the black-top piece in the middle of the battery holder. After that, the cables wouldn't reach anymore. Sooooooo, what I did was remove the bottom piece, and cut out a riser pad which I put under the black bit. It looks pretty tacky and I'm going to be just adding shorter screw lengths so I can fit it on properly, but for now, it works, and the cables fit.
