I just detailed my car and couldnt stop looking at it...does anyone else do the same? you kind of fall into a trance, like man, how beautiful...or am I kind of sick? and there is nothing better than getting up the next morning to a nice clean Max and driving it! ohhh the beauty!!!

when i detail my car it puts me in a bad mood. the harsh maine winters my uncle put her through before i bought her really took a toll on the body.

My car just seems to me more fun to drive when its clean

 

about $3.50 for some Meguiar's cleaner wax about $4 for some 2001 I had the gel tire shine and then some rags... so under $10 I have my own shop vac, etc... BTW: if you guys dont use Meguiar's purple tire gel, you dont know what your missin

 

You are not alone! I think it makes my car faster, smoother, quieter
and better looking.

Swap out the cleaner/wax and try at least doing the three step "Deep
Crystal" system from Meguiar's. If you want to get the next level,
step up to the beige bottles and knock yourself out.

BTW - I was at that game that allowed for the sign in your sig.

 

I need to get all the oxidation off first. Also I work right next to that sign why dont you go to the meets?

 

I think most if not all of us are like that. If not, we wouldn't be "enthusiasts" now would we?


Also when you get out of your car, and walking away from it, you can't help but look back and stare at the car, admiring how good it looks. A few of my friends who aren't really into cars think I'm nuts for doing that. Furthermore, if I happen to pass by a place where there's reflection like if they have mirror windows I would slow down to check out my car rolling by.

I dunno about you guys but no matter how much I love my car, the birds sure seem to love it even more

 

 

I know how you feel. Even though I park my car in a parking structure, those damn birds still seem to be able to leave thier mark.

I made the mistake, in my younger days , of letting some bird ammo
sit on my roof for too long. Unfortunately it etched my paint and I
have not been able to get it back to perfect; close but not quite.

Anyhow, now that I understand what a Maxima is and with how much more
I love my car now, I carry some Meguiar's Quick Detailer and two
100% cotton terrycloth towels. It works wonders. I use one shot to
loosen the crap and get it off and then one more to clean and protect
the paint again. I was lucky that it's in an area where it's hard to
see. If it hits your hood though, you should get it off quickly as
being in the line of sight would make it a PITA to look at everytime
you drive.
