The guy that is doing my new transmission is going to do a VB Mod for me and i was wondering what exactly it involves. Is it just a solenoid swap or can you modify new solenoids. I was going to send it out but i figured since he had it all taken apart i was going to have him do it all in one shot. Brian

 

Why not ask the guy doing the VB mod? Just sit there and watch him. Then you can tell US what's involved.

 

Thats the thing were not sure what is involved in doing the mod he noted on the bottom of the solenoid's that you can possibly adjust the pressure of the solenoid on the bottom of it, there is a screw but we wan to be sure that is the way to do it. We just want to make sure that, that is the correct way to increase the pressure of the tranny for more possitive engagment. This is a different guy than anyone has delt with he is my personal mechanic and the only way i can keep the warranty of the infinity tranny is to have him do the work, he said he can do it but he just needs to know what is involved you know. Edit, Tho once we figure out how this done i will definetly get a write up on how it is accomplished not just where to get it done.

 

Well that's the trick. I think the parts needed are fairly cheap. It's the work that's the secret. So unless someone is willing to fess up, I don't think anyone is gonna talk(and screw up some serious profit in doing so)

It has nothing to do with the solenoids. If he doesn't know what he's doing before he opens it up, I think JIME has a used VB for sale when your original goes South
