Need help with wheels- offset and spacers
I have some 18x7.5 wheels with a 48mm offset. I want to get spacers for them and I was thinking about 15mm spacers all around which would make it to a 33mm offset, how would this look perform? I dont know if I should get 5mm or the 15mm spacers. I would be using 235/40/18 tires with them. any help would be appreciated.
my guess is that it will fit fine, if you go 15 in front you might want to do the same in the rear
you'll need longer studs I'm sure you know that.
if you go five all around thats pretty close to the stock offset I think, the only reason I would consider running 15mm spacers is to clear brakes, but I'm sure it should be ok.
CalsonicSE runs 15/20mm spacers all around, I dont think he has had any problems

also since the h&r spacers are hubcentric, does that mean I still need to get the hubcentric ring for my new rims? or do the spacers take care of that?

I run 10mm spacers (two 5mm plates together)
If you order H & R spacers, 5 or 15 mm, they come with longer studs. I needed spacers as well, but, I thought 15mm was just too big. So, I took some 5mm H & R spacers to a machine shop and had them make me 10mm spacers out of aluminum. They are perfect. The wheel does not protrude at all out of the wheel well and because they are hubcentric, I don't get any wheel wobble. In my opinion, that is the way to go.
