I have reason to beleive maxima headers are worse then CL-S headers!

It's to my understanding that the 4th gen headers are not available? I don't think OBX is ever going to make headers for the 2002 To put 4th headers on, the rear manifold's EGR valve needs to be welded shut and 2 o2 sensors need to be relocated. Easy

4th gen and 5th gen are the same last I knew. At least the FRONT manifold is since DesertPearl swapped a FED spec 4th gen manifold to his 2K1.

I thought you already swapped to VQ30DE headers?

Sorry, what am I missing here?

I just meant I was intending to use 4th gen headers anyhow. Then I said what was involved (which u know). But what I'm tryign to say is to my understanding "4th gen" OBX headers are not yet available. There never going ot make headers for a 2002, thats a given. And BTW I have a 95 maxima rear manifold on my car

Why 4th gen headers? What's the difference you NEED?

Different Precats, because they are not CALI emissions?

So your telling me if I call up one of these distributors TOMORROW and tell them I want to buy THOSE part numbers, that they don't exist?

I understand why you have 95 REAR header, but as far as I know it doesn't matter, because the Stillen Y-pipe is still going to fit if you put the FRONT one on. Plus, they have a Stillen 2K2 Y-pipe available anyways(at least for the Altima).

Tranny, smanny! You STARTED this daymn it!

Here it is guys....:

http://www.5thgenmaximas.com/silverbullet/obxinstall/

All the pics of the install...haven't driven the car yet, will today, but i have to let it break in and the ecu reprogram itself, so it will be a few days before I notice any real gains.

The stock Y dont look much different from the OBX Y. Look identical and the bends about the same diameter. Dont seem like they did anything there except chromed it.

Russ, shut up and drive it already. Hehe.

You don't need to wait for the ECU to "reprogram" itself, since at WOT you will get what your looking for, 30whp!!!!!!!!!!!!!

The ECU relearning only effects normal driving NOT WOT which is predetermined by the factory not trimed according to 02 sensors.

BTW, are those CC? If so, why didn't you chose the SS after all the problems with CC peeling off?

They are SS...

CC is silver color....

Btw, on the Acura, due to the coating, you can't push the car for a while because it will throw a code on the o2 from all the coating smoke. But after driving the car for a while today, I finally got on it. First open throttle, it defintely felt better, not a big improvement i would say. But after a few times, holy ****, the car I think figured out it had more air flow it could throw out. Now the car is scary fast in 1st gear-2nd. Hehehe. Whats traction? My tires and VSA light are screaming in 1st gear now. hehehehhe!

Sounds like a killer bang-for-your-buck.

Are you going to dyno or go to the track again?
