I just installed my Budget Y-pipe, and I thought it was to damn loud. So I checked for leaks, and noticed when I covered up the exhaust hole, it sounded like alot of air was coming from the flex section of the pipe. Is this normal? Its not a little hiss, its pretty loud. Thanks for any input.

 

Hmm.. It is a little louder with the new Y pipe. You should be hearing a low rumbling sort of sound at idle and below 2000 rpms.

Have you check the flange connections to make sure they are tight?
Try having someone step on the gas while you listen for leaks.
