Progress Springs on stock struts
Have a line on some slightly used Progress springs, but don't have any aftermarket (read KYB AGX) struts yet. Would I be okay to ride on these springs for a few months without damaging my struts too badly?
The drop is 1.75/1.5 f/r.
Thanks in advance
Mike

Stock struts are not valved correctly to stabalize the spring. It's not so much as when they'll fail as it is a control / ride issue.
You'll bounce over bumps, not absorb them, thus actually making your car ride worse and handle poorly on rougher roads.
On nice smooth highway roads you'll ride ok and handle better because of the lower center of gravity.
No aftermarket spring should be coupled with OEM struts, especially on our cars. Nissan struts/shocks are valved very soft to give our cars a nice smooth ride.
