Fixing the Wreck: New Project

Well the fixing has begun. Last night I took the plastic sheilding out from underneath the wheel well to see what else may need to be done. That peice is trashed, as is one other piece of undercarriage plastic. Turns out my windshield washer fluid is OK, and won't need to be replaced. I'm heading to the junkyards tommorow to pick up a new wheel (I still ride on stockies) and look for some paneling. If I can, I'm going to get all the undercarriage sheilding, the front right fender and the bumper cover. I hear some of those panels are a PITA to remove. But I"m going to go for it. I'll update tommorow after I have in hand. Oh yeah, gonna need to get a Haynes manual too. Hopefully by this weekend at least I'll be off that crappy yellow donut that makes it no fun to drive (other than that, the car performs as if it had never been touched, maybe even better LOL).

Here is my overall plan for fixing the car:

1) Replace wheel and mount, balance and align
2) Replace front fender and bumper cover - this takes care of most of the damnage
3) Work on the hood. The hood was only damaged a bit, so I'm gonna see if a body shop can fix it without having to replace it. If so, I'll do that (if the price is right). If not, I'll just replace it.

Wish me luck everyone!
