Yes and No.

This is the last car that I will be modding though.
Next time I'll buy everything stock.

I wish they would built a solid interior that won't squeak, rattle, hmm, bzzzz like so many of us have.

Happy

Very happy with my Maxima. Much tighter than my old Eclipse. Not too many rattles and the two I have are mostly intermittent. Got a great price from the dealership. Minor problems only so far. Gets lots of compliments, especially from the ladies!

I'm happy I haven't had car payments for the last year! If I've learned anything over these last few years is that car payments suck.

Looking back at the last 5 years of ownership, overall I'm satisified. Only three parts have failed on me over the course of time, a fuel sending unit, and both rear calipers seized. I have an interior rattle around the sunroof but that's only during the summer time. The paint and interior still looks great, although I do take my car care seriously.

A recent oil analysis at 102,000 miles shows that my motor is still heathly. There are a few creaks and groans emitting from the engine bay now, but I'm confident I'll track them down. My max could be faster but any enthusiast/gearhead is going to say that irregardless of what vehicle they own.

The G35 coupe and 350Z really catch my eye. The idea of a modded 1.8T GTI or WRX have bounced inside my head a few times and I have suffered through several severe cases of new car fever. There are better cars and faster cars than what I have now. But when it comes down to it my maxima does everything I ask of a car.

yes 90% of the time. i think for the price, i get lots of power and comfort, plus reliability. every mod i put on makes me even happier with the car.

however, the suspension leaves something to be desired, and im noticing more and more rattles. i would complain about the paint, but its not oem. to all the guys who are unhappy with their cars and have been for quite some time, whats keeping you from being happy and selling your maxima?

on the topic of rattles, has anybody been able to pinpoint where the rattles are coming from? cause if that could be done, im sure somebody could find a way to fix them....even if it would cost some money, it would make the car much more enjoyable.

I am very happy with my car especially since my last two cars before this have been an 84 buick lesabre and 88 civic wagon. I have no problem with rattles that I know of the only thing I hate about my car is the factory paint. The previous owner didn't take good care of its looks anf paint is chipped and scratched also has the desert floor look up close on the trunk and hood. Hope to remedy this in the future and get a nice paint job. Other than that I am very pleased comfot and performance wise. Especially ever since I beat my friends 2002 GTI 1.8t and ever since then he has been praticing his take -offs in hopes of racing me again.

Very happy with my Maxima

I bought it knowing exactly what the car was, what it could do, and what it could not do. So there haven't been any surprises, which is good. For what it is, what it can do, and what I paid, the Maxima is a very tough car to beat. And it kicks the shia out of my 01 Accord V6, my last car

Sometimes I wish I would have bought a WRX instead, but that's a different class of car. I still may trade in for an 04 WRX

I can go either way on this one.

I do love my car. I get lots of compliments on it, and I'm pretty happy with the stuff I've done to it. I do have stuff sitting around waiting to go on, but everytime I'm ready to put it on, it seems like something goes wrong.

Right now I still have to finish the 60K service (I'm at 65K now), replace O2 sensor (waiting to go in), and fix all the dings on my hood and roof (long story). I need new brakes. I also have my Y-pipe and Cat still sitting around. I can't find time to go get the stereo finished, and my front end needs to be repainted because of Nissan's sucky paint.

But all in all, I do love my car. It's pretty fun to work on, but it's an expensive habit. My next car will probably be something that I won't mod, but that's what I say now. My friend's IS300 looks nicer to me everytime I see it, but it's too small and underpowered for me. I don't know what I want next, but I want a new car soon. I get bored with cars pretty fast, which probably isn't a good thing.

OK, that's the end of my rant.

Later,
-Nick

Not as happy as I should be. I figured all the money I've spent it would be fast by now. Makes it worse when you see all these new cars coming out that would smoke me bone stock.

I agree, I am NOT happy. I continue to mod, and I actually have an entire closet full (almost full) of stuff waiting to be installed, and I'm not even excited. I'm not going to waste time modding my celica either, unless I can get comptech to do a V8 engine swap. I'm sick of middle-class crap.

Going to search the used car section right now, in search of my M5

I'm happy with my car, once I realized its slow so I quit racing. I'm satisfied in knowing that I have a car that will last me another 100k, and will look good doing it. It's also good knowing that the paint on an 89 is better than almost any 4th or 5th gen I've seen

I'll be totally satisifed once I get the rest of the kit and some 18s.

Yeah, I'm happy with my Max. This is the first vehicle that I've kept long enough to pay off. Usually I get tired of a vehicle in a couple of years.

I love my Max even though I would love something with a little more power and RWD (G35 ). But I think no matter what I have I will always want something a little better.

I just wanted a family sedan with a little more power and better handling than your typical sedan. A lot of newer cars may be faster but my Max is still faster than 90% of the cars on the road. It will smoke many cars that people consider 'sporty' and still carry four people comfortably. Next time you are in a parking lot look at a row of cars and see how many have a chance of beating your Max

I think most of those who are unhappy had unrealistic expectations. Either comparing the Max to a real sports car or comparing it to more expensive cars.

Great car......if I wanted a very fast stock car, I would have bought one.

The car has a great engine and I feel I got what I paid for. I bought it and modding it was not on my mind. I discovered this site about a year after I purchased it from a family member.

If I knew then what I know now....I might have gotten a five speed.

My only wish is for a "GO FAST" button for those days whne I want to drive insanely fast and can only wish............
