got my budget ypipe today....pics
Ok, ok, I've been running around on a blown flex/cracked pipe Cattman for the last three months now - it sounds like crap, and I have NO power at all. I dyno'd at stock HP/TQ and ran 16's at a trap speed no better than 89 all summer, VERY disapointing. Ordered my Budget about a week and a half ago...
When I saw that the pipe was just bubblewrapped and taped, I was kind of ****ed, but as I cut into it, I realized that the packaging was actually very good. The manifold flange was starting to rub thru the plastic and it discolored the black paint, but it won't be seen anyways I was also very happy to see that Budget included two new crush gaskets, and ALSO the gasket that goes between ypipe and cat, I was not expecting that - Thanks!!!
The pipe looks to be well built, the flex section is shorter than I thought it would be, at 8.5 inches long and 3.5 inches wide (not around, don't have a flexible tape handy.) The only thing that looks like it might be a problem later is where the two smaller tubes join together with the bigger pipe...it doesn't look as smooth as I remember my Cattman being.
I will be doing the install tomorrow, and I am definatly looking forward to a quieter, more powerful setup. I will let ya'll know what I think later
ugh, pictures are in the next post

Ok, install is done, and it's AWESOME! Took about two hours because I had a very hard time putting in a bolt. Took it out for a little spin and it's quiet as stock now. I didn't take it past 4k so I can't say anything about the power yet.
I looked inside my old Cattman pipe, and the inside of the flex was destroyed, maybe about the size of a DIME - horrible.

i drove my boy Tony's max with the Budget Y pipe, 2.5" b-pipe, Opax muffler and PR CAI. I must say his car pulls alot harder than mine does from 2500-4000. I only have the PR CAI and mine is not nearly as fast
i cant wait till their b-pipes come out for the 95/96, cause then ill have the Y and B-pipes(both Budget) installed along with my RVM UDP all in one shot over at Jeff's place
