hit and run... anyone good at estimating repair costs?

some ******* rammed my car and ran... is anyone good at estimating repair costs? i have a 97 Maxima.. from the looks of it, the tail light is cracked, the bumper is ripped, and its kinda dented in.. here are some pictures:

$350 unless you have damage to the rear quarter....
Then $440

the thing is im probably gonna take it to a body shop... my mom thinks its gonna take like over $3000 to repair and i told her that she was retarded..

if you buy the stuff of www.car-part.com and take it to a shop.. that should cut down cost considerably.. other wise they will use brand new parts and it will cost $3000 when you count parts, labor and paint..

The rear quarter is definetely pushed in. Cant tell if there is damage near the top of the light or not, but if not, it might be able to be pulled back into shape.

Other than that, you need a new rear bumper cover and tail light for sure.

I had a similar accident this summer.. you don't get points added on through insurance you just have to pay the deductable if you have full coverage with no fault, etc..



Repair costs will run you about $1000-1400.00. You need a new bumper (paint), fender (paint), and full tail light + all the install and time.. Good luck, accidents suck.
