I think bone stock, the 97-99 SE looks the best out of all Maximas. But modded, I love the third gens.

BTW, I just measured the fenderwheel gap on my mom's 97. 4.3 INCHES!!!!!!
kinda agreed but a nice clean stock 5th gen SE looks good also, besides this cant really be fair since there are more 4th gen guys on here than any other gen

oh yeah 3rd gen is the best

Just think you put 2" lowering springs on and still have 2.3 inches.

I agree, 97-99. I don't think it's bias, it's basically a standard when it comes to looks and taste. The looks were not timeless, and the 97-99 looks way out of date today. VEry narrow, tall, with a low rear. The complete opposite of what is stylish today. But the 5th gen made a mockery of those qualities, keeping the Max outdated but then adding a weird look to it. Audi and BMW will always produce the most stylish and best looking cars. At least that has been the case for about 30 years. Honda has a knack for playing follow the leader, Nissan does not. But hey, Altima and 350Z are definitely on the right track.

Like I said, it's just a standard when it comes to taste. When you look at buildings built in Phila. since '87, which is the best looking skyscraper? Most tasteful people would say all are pretty bad looking by world standards with the exception of the Bell Atlantic Tower.

I used to have a 91' max and now have a 98' I choose the 3rd gen over 4th gen in every category maybe except for engine performance.

You are a man that knows whats up. You would of picked engine performance, but you had a VG instead of a VE, if you would of had a 92 SE you would agree.

I had a 4th gen owner on Instant Messenger tell me the other day that he was thinking about selling his 4th gen and getting a 3rd gen

I wont say his name though to protect him.
