Interesting story regarding my "chop shop"

so we're doing a 5speed conversion on a 95 GLE at my place. the other day a Leuintant from SSF PD comes over and asks me bout it. I tell him its my friend, he asks for the name and where he lives. i tell him and the cop is really courteous and nice. He says a neighbor called and thinks im running a buiness at my house, i told him i work on friend's cars and im a car enthusist but its not my business. He's cool and jokes around with us for awhile and then leaves. Later i see another cop car roll by and stop in front of the hosue and then leaves.

Tonite, my friend tells me SSF PD called them up and asked if their car was stolen recently?? so they think i still steal cars and run a chop shop out in pure daylight and everything....i thoguht i took care of all this with the detectives ...oh well...

The saga continues...

Oh well, as long as they don't get really annoying... they'll eventually learn it's a waste of time...

I agree....

I do the same thing I've worked on cars like two or three in one day and some days I get many visitors my neighbor asked "what" I was doing I was like no man I'm not selling drugs people stop by and stay like 15 mins to an hour then leave everyday almost, I showed him my car and then he understood why I get some many people stopping by the house .....people want to see my ride...it is good side money too

Haha ... sorry, that is kinda funny.

It's kind of neat, seeing a bunch of Maximas in the same driveway. The fact that each one stands out in his/her own way because of any/no mods is nice too.

nice neighbors you've got there. funny enough they thought you were stripping down a stolen car, but in broad daylight?!?! i'd laugh it off but be kinda mad at the same time if they called the police on me. how long has the conversion taken so far? or is it done?

look at the bright side matt, if your house is getting broken into you know that the cops arent too far away.

and i miss those days of having three, four or five maxes in my driveway all with the hoods open

my neighbors knew i was a max freak so they didnt care.

hell the lady(pastor at that) that lived above me traded in her cougar and bought a 98 se.:

I think the neighbors have complained about the noise and atmosphere at the house before, so they're just trying to find reasons to call the cops on him.

"Yes officer, all these cars are stolen, in fact, take down the VIN's and call the owners of these maximas, i'd they'd like to know their cars were stolen."

yea today a cop rolled in and stopped right where CalsonicSE's Max was parked, he chilled there for a few min and then left, i think they ran his plates too. I think we'll compile a list of all the cars that might be at my house for that month, when i see the cops, ill give them the list to run the plates then they can leave me alone for that month.

All I can say is that you're more tolerant of your neighbors than i would be. I might forgive someone calling the cops on me once, but once they keep on doing it... you're a better man than me.

if this happened in Irvine... i'd understand little bit better...since I and some other fellow Maxima people live in a city where cops have no real use and their majority of daily activities consist of harassing college kids with their cars and citing for jay walking..

having said that...why on earth the SSF PD keep harrassing you for this over and over again? i really think they have much better things to do...uh...like keeping the city 'safe'?

next time they come around, you should do this!

Cops don't say **** cause they never come around there to begin with....
