Goodbye Maxima.org, hope to return one day!!!

Well just wanted to say thankyou for everyone responsible for this site and who gave me advice and answered all my questions. I recently totalled my '99 Sterling Mist Maxima SE 5 speed. I really loved that car and am sad I only got to have it for 6 months before it was totalled. My insurance covered it all but as much as I searched I couldn't find another Maxima 5 speed within 150 miles of me. So out of frustration from searching and the inconvience of not having a car I just went out and bought a 99 Mitsubishi Eclipse GS-T 5 speed. I decided I had to have a 5 speed so I would just find a car I enjoyed driving. I found a great deal on this car $11,000 with 33,000 miles and runs perfect, but it is no Maxima. I expected accleration to be much better than the Max but I was wrong. The only thing better about this car is the handling. Hopefully if I find a Max close by I'll sell this one and get back into the family. Or if I keep it long enough to pay off I'll turn it to a drag car and buy a 2K2 Max. Well so long and remember DON'T DRINK & DRIVE.

DSM , Dsmtalk , Dsmtrader The parts trader ,Roadrace , Machv

There's you a few websites to get started. If your having a hard time finding something, just drop me an e-mail. I use to have an Eclipse and still have quite a few links in my favorites.

JR_Anders: Have fun. I had a 5-speed GSX and it was a blast. I only got rid of it because I had to have a car that fit a baby seat in the back. for the baby, for having to sell my GSX.

Jamsan: I realize lately it's really trendy to bash nissan, but at least get the grammar right...

your sig "<xxxxx> need to replace my coil packs there gonna ask me do you want that with or without lube" should be "they're"

Getting an 18 or 20g turbo is the last thing to do, upgrade all the necessary part to support your boost first. My friend has a really nice 1st gen GSX, great power, but its in the shop getting the whole work done, because everything in the car is messed up. He gets it done for free labor, cus of family, but the mechanic that was worknig in his car hated that itsy-bitsy-mitsy. He was cussing everywhere. I don't blame him, the cars are a wench to work on, but a beast when its working. I remember he decided to floor it entering the hwy onramp, and the powersterring belt snapped off (it was an old belt), he had to exit and let me drive cus I had more strenght to turn the steering wheel, and we drove to my cuz house to replace the belt.

Yeah I do plan on modding the car but not for another 2 years or so till I can get another car for a daily driver. I've heard once you start modding and getting big power out of DSM's you have to start fixing something every few weeks.
