KYB AGX Shock Design

From their literature, they say the quicker the shock is worked, the stiffer it gets. (link below)

This seems backwards....

On smooth roads, where the shock isn't working fast, you'd want the shock to be stiff for good handling.

On rough roads and potholes, where the shock has to move large distances quickly to keep the tire on the road, (and provide a smooth ride) you'd need the shock to be soft.

Edelbrock has designed a shock that does just this, (described in the below link) but does not yet offer it for Maximas.

Opinions?

I'm under the impression that it means when you're on the track and swerving L-R or R-L from corner to corner the compression is rather quick, thus the shock stiffens itself up further more to reduce sway and roll.

As far as rough roads goes, your comment on it is correct. However when you have performance shocks or struts (IMHO) it's a given that you slow down on these types of roads and when you do the shocks are not compressed as fast.
