Its only 9:30 here on LI on 12/30 and there is literally 10 inches of snow on top of my Maxima. Its expected to keep coming down until tommorow. Were expected to get up to 12" or more. Looks like rally racing in my boys Subaru Impreza later on tonight and tommorow, WOOHOO!!
The Max will have to wait till i dig it out.

HAPPY 20th BIRTHDAY TO ME!!

For all the Nor'easter smack talk, I woke up this morning to all of three inches of snow here in the Philly area. Still a little coming down, but I don't see the 10-12 they were talking about. At least it won't be cramping my travel plans

i dug my car out!!!!!

We have like 11 inches in NYC now. Staten island sucks because they have all these small backroads which will probably NEVER get cleaned, thank god I dont live on one of those Anyways, as soon as it stopped snowing like 4 hours ago, I dressed up to my teeth grabbed the shovel and went to work. Dug out the car, cleaned the whole driveway, laughed my *** off at all these 4 banger morons trying to drive through my street. Had to help some dumbass in a Mercury Topaz get out. Anyways, my car is still kind of icy and has some snow, but i was able to move it out easily.
Hopefully it won't be bad by tomorrow noon, I got places to go .

We got about 18" here in Middlesex County, NJ. I'll be using my 92 Corolla snowmobile for a while. I did take my Max out and it didn't handle that bad, but the road salt that htey have yet to put down will kill the paint. It's nice to have a backup. I don't have to worry about tracking snow and crap into my new car.

the digging

out here in the queens, there is some good amount of snow. I started to shovel around 8:30 this morning and there was a good 4-5 inches on the ground. But then by this evening the snow was up to my knees. jeezes...
btw, while cleaning my car, I hit a metal pole--damn it...it bent the lip (by the door handle) of the driver side door...and I saw the paint cracked. *ouch* I almost had tears come out of my eyes...I was sooo pissed off at myself...in any case, I was wondering--does anyone of you guys know a good decent body shop--with a good reputation that does good work around the queens/NYC area?

I wonder how long it will take to melt this sucker away...
jeez, it is only january...and there is 3 more months of cold...

Nick

What's the big deal about a couple of feet of snow in Maine? That's a regular storm up there, isn't it? My brother used to live in VT and they got a snowstorm every other week and the snow lasted 'til spring. Around here it usually melts within a couple of days.

We get so much damn snow, but I am more of a sumemr person, so i wish it would stop.
We got maybe half a foot so far and its still coming down. I couldnt start my car for about 10 minutes, boy did that **** me off. It isnt even that cold out, so i wonder why it was so hard starting this morning. Somthing must have froze or somthing. Oh well, took her for a spin down the road, and i mean a spin. the roads SUCK!
Well looks like im stuck at home for a while. We better not loose power.

Ok, I have about 5" here in OKC! This is bad considering OKC people don't know how to drive, or plow, or anything when it snows more then 1". It snowed 3" last week and everything literally closed down!
