How to fix a ....... flat tire?
How to fix a ....... flat tire?
What's the easiest way to fix your flat, other than sticking it in the trunk and using the donut?
A hydraulic bottle jack can make things easir...
Are those can's aerosol of fix a flat, bad for the tires, would that be an apropriate thing to use?
How about a cigarette lighter 12v operated compressor to refill your tire?

I would only use aerosol fix-a-flat if its an emergency. Otherwise you can get a flat tire repair kit from walmart. Its very easy to use. The kit provides rubber strips which you use to plug the leak.

Hilarious!
I have a full size spare with matching SE 5 spoke rims and Toyo touring tires, and I wanted the donut! LOL! I installed a massive sub so big I couldn't both fit the sub and the spare. So I took out the spare and tried looking for space savers and couldn't find one.
I guess it's a Canadian market thing.

If you're talking about changing a flat, the spare jack pretty easy and straight forward but can be dangerous if not used properly. Using a mini floor jacks alot easier but takes up space in the trunk. The only item I would replace is the OEM lug nut remover (tire-iron) because sometimes it doesn't give you enough leverage at the proper angle. I would replace it with a socket, maybe a 2" extension and a long ratchet or breaker bar.
If you're talking about repairing a flat tire, persoanlly I've always used plug repairs for my tires. Just as long as the hole is on the thread and not not near the sidewall. It's the most easiest semi-permanent repair option for the money. The only issues I've had with plug is maybe they'll start to leak air after a year or so and if it does I just remove the old plug and re plug. Done deal.
America's Tire Company fixes flats for free, granted that your tire is in shape to be fixed safely. Had it done a couple times, they even give you a receipt, and still hand torque down your wheel.
I likem for that reason
Good service everytime i've been there .. even helped me loosen the supercharger bracket hex bolts .. ask Chunger

So the fix a flat aerosol can's are bad for your tires? though that does seem to be the easiest temporary fix.
I if I was to look for a full size'd spare, would I just be looking for a 15" 5 lug rim at a junk yard, or do I need to specify anything else?

That's why I have a poster of the 2k2 women's hockey team framed and matted in my office...as much as I love Cammi Granato
Thank goodness I've got an ol' trip to Montréal coming up!
using a plug is illegal in some states... there may be damage to the inside of the tire. The "best" way to fix it is to take it off and have it patched from the inside. Yes plugs work 99% of the time but it really should be patched.
