Hey All

All...

So I guess I am the new guy in town...Don't own a Maxima yet, but looking into a 4th Gen. I really like the car. As of late, I own a 99 Neon SOHC, that I drag with and is also my daily driver. Just been researching the boards and I thought I would sign up and introduce myself. Thanks!

Wecome!

Have fun, enjoy your rear beam Maxima (if you get a 4th gen), and search before you ask.

Make sure to get an automatic Maxima...coming from a Neon to a 5spd Maxima, the Maxima will be way too torquey and powerfull for you.

Maybe coming from a stock Neon to a stock Maxima, I will agree..coming from MY Neon to a stock maxima is actually a really big drop in power mmkkaay? And i dont drive Auto's, except for a tow vehicle..Thanks though

Yeah, really. I was at Bithlo Raceway a couple weeks ago, and there was a 2000 Neon there. It had rims, drop, fart can, altezzas, and a wing. Guess what he ran...a 22. Yes, I said 22, in the quarter mile. It was like watching grass grow. It probubly was an automatic, but that is still the most pathetic time i've ever seen. He ran like 5 times, and his best was a 19, with consistant 21's.

Do you mind telling us what you've done to your Neon? Unless it's heavily boosted or engine swapped, I don't think you have a chance.

Wow you guys are pretty harsh, way to jump on a guy that admires your cars...Anyway, I dont do bodykits/huge wings, gargantuan wheels and all that nonsense..I have no prob with those who do, just not my thing. My neon is a 99, 1st gen, base model, NO STRIPES and yes as a matter of fact I do mind telling you whats in it as I compete at Drag Events all of the country and I dont need the info leaking by k? No offence. But she is no show car by far (wow that rymed), the interior is compeatly gutted. i am here to learn about all your cars, becasue I am interested in one, I don't bash your cars, why do you mine?

I'm just messin' around man. Your probubly a huge sleeper considering most Neons don't ever break 16's.

Sleeper's are always cool.

when I was at the track this summer the local neon group was there, almost everyone of htem were in the 15s. Most of them are running the exact same time I am stock. (15.8)

So if your getting a maxima won't that be your new car to drive? So why does it matter if we know what your neon has.
If you're not going to tell us ur mods, At least tell us some quarter mile times and what not. What's your fastest 14 mile? Your trap speed? 60' and so forth?
