ODB2 ODBII Scan Tools Data Loggers

So what is the best choice for a ODB2 ODBII Scan Tool Data Logger?
(I listed as OBD2 and ODBII just for easier future searching)

I used search and found some interesting things, but I would like to hear some personal recommendations.
I plan to use a datalogger via a laptop. Need to read and erase codes, etc.
I have seen the Palm things such as www.pocketlogger.com but I want to use a laptop for sure.

I found some interesting info of many tools here:
http://www.obdiicsu.com/ScanTools/ScanTools.asp

Another option:
http://www.obd-2.com/

Another option:
http://www.obdii.com/

All I have is a laptop and a 1997 maxima, so I need to know exactly all what I need.
Please list what you use or recommend!
Thanks!
Mike

I have the one that you get from www.obd-2.com ... works great and has a lot of neat faetures. You will need a laptop, but it doesn't have to be anything fancy at all...

ok i just got the info from work is called the Snap-on MODIS, short for modular diagnostic information system. all i know is its got a 7" LCD screen, u can scan any OBD-II system with it, also has a ignition scope, volt ohm meter, and a troubleshooter . still costs $9K though http://buy.snapon.com/products/diagn...dis-system.asp
i think its safe to say that this is overkill, but sweet.
