Engine problem
I would appreciate if anyone has any ideas about a problem that started right after we changed the SC belt,
When the car is floored to go to passing gear, the motor bogs down and stays that way if the accelerator is kept to the floor. Easing up on the gas allows the car to run fine! No computer codes.
There are no air leaks in the intake tract.

I'm also using the oem fuel pressure regulator because the extra fuel for the sc and nos and maf is programmed into the computer.
I did find a vacuum line disconnected and I thought for sure this is the problem but reconnecting the line didn't stop the problem.
I wonder if the plugs were fouled when the vacuum line was off because it was running too rich??

I've had similiar problems before. My experiences were as follows... when you crunch it the engine bogs..
When i was able to ease off it and bring the rpms up slowly it was the belt.
when you couldn't pull the rpms up it was fuel.
bog was around 3-4k rpm
how is your fuel pressure reading?

Hi Brett,
Are you enjoying the beautiful winter in NYC?? Ha Ha!
Anyway, the belt was just installed and is ok, as far as fuel, I don't have a fuel pressure gauge but as I said before the vacuum line coming off would cause the fuel press reg to go wide open and foul the plugs. Does this sound reasonable??

im not supercharged or anything, been around them a little bit, but i just want to give an option which could be completely wrong since im outside the box.
belt is slipping
if you floor it and the supercharger begins to wind up then just slows down due to the belt slipping right over it, ull just dump fuel in with no air. i def think its related to belt or s/c pulley being faulty, dont flame if im wrong, just tryin to give some input

Ron--
i dont know if you have changed out your FMU from Vortech to another one. but when i just got my blower, the engine bogged due to the Hobbs switch.. but that was corrected by removing the vaccum line into that and having the aux fuel pump on at all times....
if its bogging severely, you really ought to check the fuel pres.
