how do i get to the front speakers?
bought some nice 6.5 speakers to replace the bose **** and began to pry the door paneling apart, but it dosen't come off at the top. anyone have a tutorial or pictures on how to get at the speakers? i've already replacedmy HU, but should i change the wire if i'm only gonna run 45 watts? i've searched for help on this, but can't find it.
You've gotta.......
pull up on the door from the bottom, so the window sill will slide upwards out the door. did you get all the screws in the door handle and the one near the front of the door?? I struggled at first to, but once you get it, you'll be surprised how easy it is!

Basically, you need to remove the two phillips screws on the bottom of the door panel. Then pry out the plastic cup behind the handle you pull to open the door from the inside (where the door lock is). Next, pry the little round cap from the door handle (the one you pull to close the door) and remove the screw underneath. Finally, pry out the lens on the door light. Then unscrew the light assembly underneath.
To remove the door panel, pull forward where the triangle door sail (near the power mirror) is, and then lift up. The door panel kind of rests on top of the door frame. You don't even have to disconnect the power harnesses for the power windows, trunk, or door light. Just rest the door panel on something (I used a shoe box), and you can get to the front speaker.
