3rd gen VE turbo

How much customizing would have to be done if I bought a turbo kit for the 95-up maximas and put it in my VE engine..???...Since both engines are almost similar..

Due to the amount of modifing, I doubt it would be worth it. The money portion is the piping. The rest of the stuff is probably the same. I have a manifold done already and it's jigged at a fabricator already. I haven't had the time to install it and the charge pipes need to be redone. The exhaust needs to be tweaked for better fitment also. But you can have any shop handle that.

I doubt it would take much...if I had a VE and money I'd just buy the kit and have a welder make any extra bends or changes to make it work. but I have VG and the "means" so I don't need to...

EDIT: Jeff do you really see modifying the exhaust parts as presenting that much a problem from the VQ design to fit the VE??

Re: Re: 3rd gen VE turbo

Well you can pretty much guarantee the turbo location won't jive. And each pipe coming out of each manifold won't line up. Then when it collects into the turbo flange, that probably won't line up.

You might was well just start from stratch.

Re: Re: Re: Re: 3rd gen VE turbo

Got a low miler motor(only 60k!) w/ good VTCs. I pulled the motor/tranny last week. So now I just wait on parts. I have an ACT street clutch on order. I pulled the motor/tranny mounts and will fill them with poly in the next few days.
