Now the confusion starts..................

My car is a Cali Spec and I read the information listed under my hood that says the car fitted for FED and Cali emissions laws, but when I look at the Budget pipe for a Cali spec car, it doesn't look like the stock pipe on my car.

What gives????

Deezo, if you indeed have a Cali spec like I do, look under your car again. You will see the front flange under a heat shield twards the front of the car. The front pipe on the Cali spec cars are broken into sections. Took me 2 looks to see it as well, it's hidden under a heat shield.

The Y-Pipe picture is indeed for a Cali Spec car. My 99 was Cali spec.

Like Tom said, take a quick peek and look for the extra flange.

I hope you don't have the same experience as Soon2BMaxed. He went from running 14.8@93mph with just an intake, muffler, and B-pipe work. Now he's got a Y-pipe and ACT clutch and his best was a 14.9@91mph His 60 foots are the same yet he's slower everywhere. He dynoed and made very good power too (178fwhp and 190fwtq). I'm saying the timers at our track are mostly screwed.

Make sure and go get some runs after the Y-pipe is installed. You're lucky because the tracks in your area stay open (weather permitting) all year. Take advantage of it.

The pipe on Budget's website is CALI SPEC 1999. On other years, the y-pipe is the same whether you have cali spec or fed spec.

Dave, I'm in MA. I wish the tracks up here stayed open but they are closed now.

Thanks for telling me this because I almost ordered the wrong pipe. I looked at my pipe again and didn't see the flange for that cali spec pipe.

Yes, the confusion is that the "CALI spec" with the split front pipe is only in the 1999 model. The 95-98 4th gens have minor emissions differences between the federal and california models, but the Ypipe is ther same.
