sorry, another question about factory fog lights
I have seen many posts about using higher wattage lights in the headlights and the fog lights, but i still have not seen enough info about people putting 85w bulbs in their factory fog lights. someone said that they put 100w bulbs in the fog lights and the glass cracked. is this going to happen with the 85w? and what about the wiring? can i use the stock wiring with the 85w bulbs? i always drive with my fog lights on (in the evening), they help fill in the dark spots of the headlights. what about blinding oncoming traffic? any info would be appreciated.
I would not go with 85W. I'm sure there are a few people here who are using 85W without any problems in their fogs, but I've heard even more tales of how 85W causes cracked lenses when something cold like water or snow hits the hot lens.
Stick with stock 55W bulbs. Good luck.

just buy fog light bulbs that produce high wattage but draws low currents....mine are rated at 110Watts but the bulbs themselves only draws 55Watts of current...which is stock current.

Not to sound like a jerk, but if you draw 55W of power...you will have that much light.
DFWMax: Stick with the 55W bulbs for the H3 foglamps.
