The tread on my tires is going, so instead of getting new tires for the stock wheels, I'm going to get Rims and tires at the same time. But I was going to buy a Y-pipe and exhaust, so I won't have enough $$$ for struts and springs.
Should I buy the struts and springs instead of the Y-pipe and exhaust? Would my rims look that bad for the extra month that it would take to have the cash for struts and springs.

Rims, Y-pipe, exhaust .... or Rims, Struts, and springs?

I hate getting paid monthly!!

I would recommend doing the springs/struts first.. you'll get the handling section out of the way, then focus on the exhaust.
there's really no particular drawbacks to doing it either way, but I would personally do it that way.

Maximas have good power already but have horrible handling stock. Handling first!

I don't want to have a car with nice rims and not have the power behind it, but I also don't want the 4x4 look with aftermarket 17" rims.
DAMN! Maybe I won't eat or do anything for a month and save the money for all the mods at once.

What do you guys think of these rims:

Think they would look good on the maxima?

Don't delay on the rims... I had similar grand plans too, but waited too long, then had a flat tire, and one thing led to another, it was too inconvenient to wait, etc. etc., and I wound up just getting new tires from a local store, no rims... Don't let that happen to you!!! :-)

Why not just hold on to the cash and do it all next month?

I'd do your tires, rims, struts, and springs all at once. Might as well do the struts/springs while the tires/wheels are off. Top it all off with an alignment, and you'll have one fine-handling automobile. Maybe have your camber set at negative 1 degree. The RSB and the FSTB really help, too...

Braking and handleing first, performance second. Go with the suspension and rims.

Suspension always first, then worry about more power. The maxima comes with a decent amont of power to begin with. Buy the drop in K$N filter board for $40 for the mean time.

hmmmmmm. i did my suspension first(in the summer), but if your worried about the show no go attitude get the performance now. winter is here and people really won't care if your car because it looks a little high. its higher up so you have a little bad weather insurance. you make the call...

I've already got some mods.
I have a CAI, Stillen FSTB and a RSB on the way.

I also think you should do the suspension first. Really the only thing I see wrong with the Maxima. That's my opinion though, I go for looks first..

No alarm...yet

I'm going to get locking wheel nuts though.
What do you think of these:

The racing daytona's at the bottom. I'm also looking at the racing hart C2 or T6: http://www.gotperformance.com/racinghart.html

I'm going to go with the rims, springs, struts.

good decision

good handling is a lot more fun than a few more horsepower.
