windows spontaneously rolling down

I purchased a used 1999 Nissan Maxima SE. After owning it for about a month, this problem has come up on a frequent but intermittent basis.

When parked, and the ignition is off, the two front windows will roll down about an inch. The first time this happened, upon returning to my car, I thought I had left the windows down by mistake. The second time it happened, three days later, I suspected a problem and began to look for it each time I parked the car. Last night, I parked my car, checked that both windows were all the way up, rechecked after 3 hours (still up), and when I went out to my car the next morning they were both down 1 inch. Have you ever come across this problem? Any suggestions? I called my local dealer and they had never heard of it.

Much thanks,

Mike

this probably isnt the case but maybe you put the keys in your pocket and the unlock button was held down for 2-3 seconds (makes the windows go down)

p.s. this is assuming you have keyless entry

I think when you unlock your doors, you might have accidentally hold it down, which would roll down the windows.

This is probably what is happening to you. Sometimes I lay down on the couch with my keys in my pocket and if you get them just right the unlock button will be pressed and the windows roll down. One night this happened and it was raining outside. Everything got soaked but its a nice feature to have in the summer.

its caused by maxima ghosts who have lost thier souls and have taken over a living maxima, and starts to get revenge on those owners who mistreat their maxima's....... or it could be the keyless entry
