Painting the Valet Key

has anyone painted their valet black? because I sometimes carry around the valet key, and it looks like crap with a maroon coloured key along with the black key fob. Anyone vinyl dyed or spray painted it black? does it hold up to scratching?

valet key

It looks different so people can tell the difference between the valet key and a regular key. If you don't like the look why don't you leave it at home?

If you do lose your keys, all you'll be able to do with the valet key is sleep in the car until you find them.

p.s.-- I third the motion for using a marker!!!

Wouldn't you lose all your keys then?
Or do you carry two seperate key chains??

Unless the valet key doesn't start the ignition, going to a locksmith won't help. The keys for 5th gens have a chip embedded in them which means if you want another key, you have to get it made by nissan.

carbon fiber would save you .00001 lbs versus heavy marker ink
