Anybody else tint their sunroofs? Since ours dont come with tint from the factory. I just got mine tinted with 15% mirror tint and it looks sweet as _. :-)

I'm about to do it

I had all the other windows tinted, but the sunroof is killer on a hot day. Do you recommend doing the job yourself? It seems a little silly to pay someone for such an easy job...The sunroof is a perfect rectangal

I thought about tinting mine mirror to match the rest of my windows, but I was like forget it. I might be sound crazy for saying this, but I kinda like shedding some light in the car without opening the sunroof, sometimes when its raining during the day.

I did not tint my own, that the way I evade the tint tickets. Of course I will not admit that my tint does meet NY state regulation but I throw back the cover when evey I see the cops roll by.

I was told...

That it was a bad idea to tint your sunrof. I too wanted it done, but was told that the sunroof comes pre-tinted (barely) and that the tint job will melt in the summer, no matter how good of a product you use. Just my 2 centz

Interesting. I had mine on all summer in Southern California and the only thing that melted was me!

If it melts, its probably because of bad quality tint, probably the kind that fades and turns purple. You should choose heat resistant/shrink resistant tint.
