What 15 Inch LIGHT wheels will fit my 300ZX Front brakes?

Well, since I upgraded my front brakes to that of the 90-96 300ZX's, I cannot use my stock 15 inch steelies with slicks. I need to find another wheel to use that is LIGHT weight. I know that lightweight 17 inch and 18 inch rims have been discussed in the past, but does anyone know what 15 inch rim (offset included) can I use on the 300ZX brakes that is also lightweight?

Just some FYI, the regular 16 inch rims on a 300ZX are 45mm offset if that helps any. Thanks....

I don't know if 15's will fit, but how about some OEM 16" 300zx wheels? They are quite light.

I think he wants to keep on using his 15" slicks.

Well, it doesn't matter about my old slicks. I am looking at the stock 300ZX rims as well, but I can't find a TRUE 16 inch slick to fit it. All I am finding are the drag radials, not drag slicks.

I don't think you can fit any 15" wheel over 300ZX brakes.

Thanks SX7R. What rim/slick combo are you running? Also, what is the weight of those rims and the offset? And lastly, where did you get those slicks? I too have M/T slicks, but they are 15 inchers.....

that particular combo was 3rd gen rx7 wheels with MT 26 x 10.50-16. weight of those wheels were 14lbs, but rx7 wheels range anywhere from 14-16lbs depending on year i think. 16x8, +50 offset. i used a 10mm spacer to clear my coilovers. discount tire can special order MT slicks for you.

How did you get 10.5 inch wide slicks to work/seal on an 8 inch wide rim? So do you think these rims will fit my brakes SX7R?

the minimum width requirement on the 10.5" slicks was 8". they mounted up fine, i didn't even need to use tubes. they'll fit your brakes with a big enough spacer(dunno what size though).

I forgot you have gone 5 speed Erik. Its probably better for you with the 26" dia now.

The auto's seem to work much better with the 22's, need the lower gear ratio. If I could get 14's to fit on my car I would be using the 20" ones.

No they wont fit over ZX brakes.......I tried. Sold my RX7 wheels for 250 and got some N/A ZX wheels. 16 lbs piece.

Yeah, after I got the 22 inch slicks I have now, I have to shift into 4th at the end of the 1/4 mile, killing my times. I am looking at regular 26 inchers. I am gonna look into the OEM 300ZX rims, since they are the cheapest lightest rims that I know will fit over my brakes.

If I got the 16x7.5 inch 300ZX Rims, what is the widest inch slick I could use? And you guys said that if I call discounttire.com they can get me custom MT's? Thanks all. I appreciate it.
