Question about SC and noise>>
I was wondering when the SC makes its cricket noise?Like what RPM does it start or stop?Also how loud is it on a scale of 1 to 10,1 being a stock exaust and 10 being Intake Y-pipe and cat-back.Thanks for any help.BTW the new I30 is getting a little boost soon!

earlier V1 - loud
later V1 - quite
V2 - quiet
the silencer will help but you have to keep in mind it's going to be loud if u have aftermkt exhuast and boost.
you can barely hear the BOV..so don't worry.
auto or 5spd it doesn't matter on the sound.
dyno max?? u mean Dynamat? or some alphalt/tar sound deadner? if your SC is loud there's nothing u can really do except get a new one.

Thanks for the help and about me know my $hiet I have never been in a SC max and I have never asked this question before since I did not care about the DB level on my old Max.Dyno Max is a muffler but is also a sound detanating material which I believe is made by dyno mat {not positive though}.

crickets are most annoying at idle after warming up....and coming to a stop at lights...etc
when cold start it almost screaches. V1 = loud but not annoying.
v2 = quiet..but be careful..it may blow up on you =)

sorry took a while been out skiing.. neway gonna make this quick.. aol doesn't appriciate the use of their 800# hehehe.. BOV?? dan how many have u heard? dunno bout the automagic crowd.. but mine's mistaken for a turbo more than a s.c y u ask? well umm aside from a few other things the BOV is loud.. sounds just like friends rx7 or supra tt.. guess its the goodness of the 5spd.. or is it the added boost?
