There are two ways to go about this.

1. Pull the tint off and then spray 409 or similar spray and use an SOS pad to get the glue off. It is very easy. Just let the 409 sit for 5mins. It will basically come off even if you rub the window with your fingers. This is a slightly messier way.

2. Cleanest way to do it is this. Get a heat gun, heat the outside of the window, be careful not to smokeup/melt the molding on the side of the windows, keep the heat gun away from that. Once you heat it, you can pull the tint back, along with the tint will come up the glue, continue heating the window while pulling back the tint. Be very PATIENT. It should take you about 10-15mins per window, any quicker and you will be leaving glue behind. This is the method I choose since it is cleaner and dont worry about making a mess.

I would really take this somewhere to get it down, cuz i was told you had to leave the back window soaked for at least 4 hours before you can attempt pulling it out so it doesnt rip off the heating lines.

That is untrue, as I said, take the tint off slowly and you wont damage the defroster lines. Then spray it down with like an all purpose style cleaner like 409. Let it sit for FIVE minutes. Believe me when I tell you after the 5mins, you can litterally rub your finger over the window and you will pull the glue off. The SOS or Green Scrub pad is only there to help take it off quicker.

It wont scratch your window either.

well everyone has their own preference on how to do this. I found the easiest way to strip my tint was the following.

1) Tape off and cover your door panels and seats

2) Strip off the tint film from all windows carefully, especially on the rear window. Start at the top with a razor and just pull all the way down slowly and gently. I got 4 outta 6 windows in one sheet

3) get some goo-gone and more single edged razor blades and go to town on ALL side windows of the car. This will take some time, but will get 100% of the goop off. Use the goo- gone in a small spray bottle to make applying easier.

4) buy some extra fine steel wool and agian take goo-gone and go to work on your rear window. Just start at the top and work your way all the way down. At the very bottom take a razor and scrape off whats left. DO NOT use the razor over the defroster lines, this will destroy them and cause your entire rear defroster to stop working.

5) go back over all your windows with some Magic Glass cleaner

6) sit back and drink a beer cause your done!

estimated time: a good 4-6 hrs

have fun!
